Well waking up this morning things seemed much better. We lost some money but we were blessed enough to still be going on a cruise to Alaska. Well we headed to the airport first thing. We were NOT going to miss a second boat, I didn't care if we were in line at the pier 3 hours early! We took the Light Rail from the airport into the pier district of Seattle. I can't believe people pay the cruise line 25 bucks a whack to transport them from the airport to the ship. If you can walk a few block the Light Rail cost $2.50 a person. Plus it was a nice ride with good views of Mt. Rainier and the city. We walked through Pike Place Market and saw the Starbucks that started it all. Not that I am a fan of Starbucks, which are on every corner in Seattle! Before we knew it we were at the pier and in line for boarding the boat! I have to say Norwegian is very efficient and organized. This is going to be a good trip! As cities go, I like Seattle.
I am a stay at home, homeschooling mom to 3 crazy kids, and wife to a husband who puts up with us all. We have a 120 year old farmhouse we are sure will take just as long to renovate, a one acre garden and too many animals! I am trying to live a slower, simpler life without being dependant on material things, and teach my children to live in a manner that is pleasing to God. Our adventure is challenging but rewarding, and I wouldn't change it a bit.
