Well after nine days of being away we finally made it back to West Virginia! The kids seemed glad to see us and it sure felt good to be home. It was short lived however as after lunch the next day, the kids and I packed up the car and headed to CT. It would be a bit shorter of a visit than we had originally planned and Kevin wouldn't be coming with us as he used up all his vacation time on our trip. We made excellent time and the kids were extremely well behaved. We only stopped three times and the last time the kids didn't even want to stop they just wanted to keep driving until we got there! We made it in less than 12 hours. We had a wonderful visit. Some of the highlights of our trip were going to the beach with Grammie and learning about the bees with Grampa. A really nice trip but the kids were eager to get home to Daddy.
I am a stay at home, homeschooling mom to 3 crazy kids, and wife to a husband who puts up with us all. We have a 120 year old farmhouse we are sure will take just as long to renovate, a one acre garden and too many animals! I am trying to live a slower, simpler life without being dependant on material things, and teach my children to live in a manner that is pleasing to God. Our adventure is challenging but rewarding, and I wouldn't change it a bit.
