During the last big snow storm we received a cheery package from the UPS man. Aunt Chris had sent us some sweaters for the kids that Kevin's grandmother had handknitted. They are beautiful and she was obviously very talented and patient! I don't think I would have the patience for such detailed knitting. Well during this snowstorm I decided the snow would make a great backdrop to showcase her handiwork in some winter pictures. The girls are also wearing the hats and mittens my grandmother made them. Josiah has the new mittens I "made" and the hat Kevin's mother made. They have no idea how lucky they are to have so many things made for them!
I am a stay at home, homeschooling mom to 3 crazy kids, and wife to a husband who puts up with us all. We have a 120 year old farmhouse we are sure will take just as long to renovate, a one acre garden and too many animals! I am trying to live a slower, simpler life without being dependant on material things, and teach my children to live in a manner that is pleasing to God. Our adventure is challenging but rewarding, and I wouldn't change it a bit.
