We now have a barn full of hay. Thanks to a lot of help from our good friends. The men cut and raked and baled it all. Then on Sunday we had a picnic lunch amongst the bales, and then worked together to get it put up in the barn. We feel very blessed to have these friends who help us with the work and are teaching us so much about all the farming things we are interested in. And nothing is prettier than a field full of fresh cut, baled hay.
The kids found a snake that got baled up with the hay.
I am a stay at home, homeschooling mom to 3 crazy kids, and wife to a husband who puts up with us all. We have a 120 year old farmhouse we are sure will take just as long to renovate, a one acre garden and too many animals! I am trying to live a slower, simpler life without being dependant on material things, and teach my children to live in a manner that is pleasing to God. Our adventure is challenging but rewarding, and I wouldn't change it a bit.
